Hillsboro Weekend

Our annual trip to Hillsboro, WI is scheduled for June 23 - June 26. We will ride to Hillsboro on Friday, participate in the Poker Run that originates from the hotel on Saturday, eat some BBQ chicken in Rockton on Sunday, and return home on Monday. Lots of riding around these planned events too!

I have a block of rooms reserved at the Hillsboro hotel either under my name (Rick), or under "STAR". Let me know if you have problems with a room.

For those who want to ride to Hillsboro as a group, we will have a route planned. Our departure point will be the Holiday gas station at: 12370 W Point Douglas Rd, Hastings, MN 55033. Kickstands up at 10AM from that site. There is a restaurant there as well, but I am told it has limited seating area.

Some of us will also meet for breakfast somewhere up north and then ride down to the departure point. I'll post that information later.  If you let us know you plan to be part of the group, we won't leave without you. WE WILL NOT PRERIDE THE ROUTE DOWN!!!. If we encounter any road construction, it will add to the thrill, right?

Think about whether or not you will be staying for the chicken dinner feed mid-day Sunday in Rockton (near Hillsboro). I will take a count the day we arrive in Hillsboro, and then phone in a "reservation" for those who plan to go.

Just a heads up, so no one has to eat gas station breakfast; The Point (the restaurant attached to Holiday) closed a couple of summers ago. A sad day for me, their breakfasts were outstanding.

For those who are interested, some plan to meet at the Perkins on Hwy 55 just east of Hwy 169 in Golden Valley for breakfast. We plan to meet about 8AM for breakfast, and leave at 9AM for the point.
